The Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery offers a full range of facial cosmetic and reconstructive procedures to improve and enhance the appearance and function of the face and neck.
Our team provides friendly and comprehensive care tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
The division’s goal is to improve appearance and restore function with procedures for cosmetic purposes, facial injuries, facial paralysis, congenital deformities and elective change.
Procedures performed include facelift, eyelid rejuvenation, brow lift, rhinoplasty (nose surgery), scar improvement techniques (scar revision, dermabrasion) and minimally invasive techniques (botulinum, collagen injections). We also perform facial restorations of deformities caused by injury and/or cancer treatment.
We also perform procedures to improve facial function, nasal breathing and facial movement. Definitions of procedures performed:
-
Nasal shape recontouring (rhinoplasty): modifies external nasal appearance.
-
Facelift (rhytidectomy): gives additional support to sagging tissues in the lower face, upper neck and jaw areas.
-
Eyelid rejuvenation (blepharoplasty): excises excess skin or excess fat to reduce bags around eyes.
-
Brow lift: lifts droopy brows and upper eyelid skin.
-
Dermabrasion: sands down the skin surface to allow scars to blend with surrounding skin.
-
Scar revision: modifies the appearance of a scar, making it less noticeable.
-
Botulinum injection: substance used to weaken tight facial muscles, which can reduce skin crevices and wrinkles (lasts three to six months).
-
Collagen injections: substance used to fill skin indentations (lasts three to six months).
-
Radiesse injections: a dermal filler that goes beyond filling and correcting facial wrinkles and smile folds, it can restore facial volume. Please review the question and answer guide about Radiesse for additional information.
